Kallas i hockeykretsar för "Rövaren".

Mycket spelskicklig back som tillhörde Mora IK under hela sin tid som elithockeyspelare men upptäcktes i Furudalsklubben IFK Ore.

Trots att det var tal om att Eklind skulle få chansen i Tre Kronor så kom han aldrig att spela någon landskamp.
