Gunnar Brundin Biography and Trivia

Gunnar "Nilas" Brundin är en av klassiska Gävle GIK:s svenska mästare från 1957.

Var redan som junior omtalad för sin talang och testades mycket riktigt i juniorlandslaget.

Testades även i Tre Kronor vid en dubbellandskamp mot Norge i Oslo vid seriestarten på Allsvenskan 1954. Trots vinster med 8-2 och 7-1 så gick Brundin mållös av planen vid båda tillfällena. Som kedjekamrater vid de båda landskamperna hade "Nilas" Hans Eriksson och Lars-Eric Lundvall, samtliga tre för övrigt debutanter i landslaget.

"Nilas" flyttade efter sina år hos Gävles "saftpirater" ner till Småland och spel för Tranås AIF. En klubb som han kom att representera under exempelvis deras säsong i allsvenskan 1961/62
