Cult/Star player for Villacher SV

The Villach, Austria native Wolfgang Kromp played professional hockey on senior level for 22 years. He spent his entire career with his hometown's Villacher SV, which he represented in 950 games in the highest Austrian league, collecting 701 points (333 goals, 368 assists). Kromp was part of five out of six championship winning teams in the club's history.
The left winger with brilliant skating ability dressed in 98 international matches for Team Austria (24 points, 12 goals) and participated in four World Championships (A-pool) and three Olympics.
Kromp - who debuted for Villacher SV on Feb. 10th, 1989, against Innsbrucker EV - officially retired on May 19th, 2010, the same day as his longstanding club colleague Günther Lanzinger.
